The Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join our Access and Identity team within IT Services, which plays a central role in delivering digital services to over 17,500 students and 2,000 staff.
As the Access and Identity Specialist, you will work collaboratively across the University’s Access, Identity, and Cybersecurity operations, supporting key systems and services that underpin Kingston’s digital infrastructure, data, and users.
In this role, you will apply your expertise to secure and maintain our Access and Identity environment, contributing to the day-to-day management of Identity and Access Management (IDM) operations. You will work closely with cybersecurity and other IT teams to strengthen our technology landscape, while also supporting the development and maintenance of security standards and policies. Your contributions will help ensure our digital services remain secure, resilient, and aligned with the University’s strategic goals.
The Person
As an Access and Identity Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our IT assets and systems remain secure and compliant by supporting the daily management of Identity and Access Management (IDM) operations. In addition to hands-on delivery, you will work closely with the Senior Access and Identity Specialist to shape the future of access and identity services, guiding best practices and driving innovation within the strategic framework set by the Head of Cybersecurity, and aligned with the broader IT Services vision.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in enterprise IDM platforms, strong access management expertise, and solid technical skills. You should be confident in assessing IT processes and threats, solving complex problems, and addressing network and system challenges with clarity and precision.
