A well-established steel manufacturing company is seeking an experienced electrically-biased or multiskilled maintenance technician to support plant maintenance, installations, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct reactive and planned maintenance activities
Electrical fault finding on AC/DC motors and systems
Assist with installation and upgrades of equipment
Follow strict Health & Safety protocols
Communicate effectively across shifts and teams
Maintain accurate records and shift handovers
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: ONC/OND/HNC/HND/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Maintenance
Essential experience Fault finding and repair in heavy engineering environments
Working with single and three-phase systems
Installation and maintenance of AC/DC motors
Skills
Time management, communication, and ability to work unsupervised
Desirable Experience: Motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs
HV switching and pyrometry
18th Edition electrical qualification
MEWP/forklift operation
Crane maintenance
Proficiency with MS Office
Comfortable working at height
