To support this growth, we are recruiting for a Contracts Manager to oversee multiple specialist remediation and ground engineering projects, reporting directly to our Contracts Director.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will play a senior leadership role across our live project's portfolio – ensuring all works are delivered to the highest technical, commercial, and safety standards. You'll oversee a team of Project Managers, Engineers and Site Managers across UK-wide projects, with support from the Commercial, Technical and Operational teams based in Ripley.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the safe, timely and commercially sound delivery of multiple concurrent contracts
* Mentor and coordinate project delivery teams including PMs, engineers, and site managers
* Resource planning, programming, procurement and subcontractor oversight
* Monitor progress, budgets, variations and commercial performance (CVRs, forecasts, claims, EWN/CEs)
* Ensure compliance with NEC/JCT, CDM 2015, EN 1504 and client-specific framework requirements
* Drive quality assurance, site safety, and environmental compliance
* Support the Contracts Director with departmental strategy, pipeline coordination, and continuous improvement
* Lead client and stakeholder communications, maintaining strong relationships with principal contractors, consultants and direct client
About You
* Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager role within civil engineering, ground remediation, or structural concrete repair sectors
* Strong knowledge of NEC/JCT contracts, construction law, change control and programming
* Practical understanding of ground engineering techniques – including resin/chemical grouting, void filling, mini-piling, geopolymer injection, concrete repair and composite strengthening
* Excellent team leadership and project coordination skills
* Sound commercial awareness and ability to manage multiple workstreams under pressure
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and reporting capabilities
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
* Qualifications such as SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold, Temporary Works Coordinator or similar are desirable
