Next Stage is a leading Learning Disability Care Provider based across Bolton. We support Adults to live fulfilled and independent lives. We are described as a "family-friendly" service that genuinely cares about the lives of those they support. We provide care within people's homes and supported living places.
We are recruiting for Support Workers, offering both Part Time and Full Time positions.
The role involves:

* Representing the company positively to external bodies and individuals.
* Having comprehensive knowledge of each person's assessed needs and providing support as per person-centered plans and risk assessments.
* Developing person-centered plans with the support of the individuals and encouraging their participation in decisions about their care and activities.
* Empowering individuals by promoting their rights and interests while safeguarding them from harm.
* Supporting individuals in maintaining safety and cleanliness of their residences and directing them to relevant departments regarding tenancy issues.
* Promoting a healthy lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, and health support.
* Building positive, trusting relationships that promote wellbeing.
* Maintaining professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times.
* Monitoring behaviors and needs, and communicating significant changes to senior staff.
* Liaising with outside agencies such as GPs and social workers.
* Developing effective relationships with stakeholders, including families, the community, healthcare facilities, and suppliers.
* Undertaking key-worker responsibilities, ensuring documentation is maintained and professional appointments attended.
* Taking appropriate action in emergencies and reporting incidents promptly.
* Safeguarding vulnerable individuals according to policies and procedures.
* Managing petty cash and medication administration in line with policies.
* Working at other locations as required and participating in an on-call system.
* Adhering to the Code of Conduct and all regulatory requirements, including health and safety legislation.
* Receiving guidance, support, and supervision from senior colleagues.
* Using IT systems appropriately and participating in ongoing learning and development.
Requirements:
For the senior role, candidates must have at least 12 months of experience and be competent across all areas and disciplines of the Care Certificate.
