Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst – 32067.
The Environment Agency is committed to an inclusive workforce that reflects the communities it serves. The Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) focuses on creating a centralised portfolio to drive change, transformation, and continuous improvement. We are looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the team. You will be part of the PMO, analysing data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio to set standards for benefits and value management and to embed them, helping teams identify, value and validate project benefits.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change and transformation with development opportunities and strong support from the team.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio.
* Help to set standards for benefits and value management and embed them across projects.
* Identify, value and validate project benefits; support evidence-based decision making to manage risk across change and transformation.
* Support the Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Transformation Team in STA (Strategy, Transformation and Assurance) directorate.
* Contribute to ongoing improvement within the PfMO and broader transformation activities.
Experience / Skills Required
* Strong analytical skills with proven experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships.
* Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; able to work independently or as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and actively consider diversity in work.
* Development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
Additional Information
* You will have an inclusive incident management objective in your development plan. Training will be provided. The role is hybrid with an EA Office base location; as a national role, some travel may be required.
* Discretionary travel and overnight stays may be required; we use smart tools to stay connected.
