Morgan Hunt are working with a large public sector organisation to recruit a Data Architect on a contract basis. The role is for someone who is experienced in implementing and configuring Databricks. Candidates must have active SC Clearance. (SC clearance can take 3 months to get). You will guide high-performing teams to design and implement scalable data solutions leveraging Databricks and cloud-native tools. This role blends technical leadership with strategic oversight, shaping the future of data platforms for some of our most high-impact clients and guiding our teams in modern approaches and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor cross-functional data engineering teams to deliver end-to-end Databricks solutions.
* Own project delivery, stakeholder communication, and issue resolution across cloud data engagements.
* Enforce best practices around data governance, observability, and CI/CD pipelines.
* Drive innovation by evaluating emerging data technologies and promoting continuous learning.
Role
* Flexible on rate
* Inside of IR35
* 1 day per week in the office, Canary Wharf
* Candidates must have active SC Clearance
* £750 per day Inside IR35
* Contract initially until 31/03/26 (With a strong chance of extension possible)
