A global investment advisory firm is looking for a legal counsel to join its London office. Thepany provides independent advice to institutional investors across a wide range of alternative asset classes, including hedge funds, private markets, and real assets. Your new role
Reporting to the General Counsel, you’ll play a key role in supporting the legal andpliance needs of the UK business and wider global group. This is a broad and varied role, offering exposure tomercial, regulatory, and operational legal matters. You’ll work closely with internal teams across multiple jurisdictions and contribute to strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
1. Drafting and negotiatingmercial contracts, including supplier, service and confidentiality agreements
2. Advising internal stakeholders on legal risks and regulatory developments
3. Supporting cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance,pliance) on legal matters
4. Managing external counsel and contributing to global legal projects
5. Assisting withernance
What you'll need to succeed
Essential:
6. Qualified solicitor with at least 6 years’ PQE
7. Strong drafting experience withmercial contracts including: NDAs, supply agreements, service agreements, responses to RfPs
8. Confidence working independently and across teams, with excellentmunication and organisational skills
9. Experience supporting internal business functions and managing external counsel
10. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach and strong interpersonal skills
Desirable:
11. Familiarity with regulatory andpliance matters within the investment adviser industry
12. Practical experience of data protection legislation/IP laws
13. Familiarity with employment law
