Purpose of the role
We are looking for a results-driven Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to manage and expand a diverse portfolio of customer accounts across London and the South West of England. The TSM will be responsible for driving growth in the Packed Products business through a strategic approach that enhances market share, revenue, and RCO profitability.
Key Accountability
* Operate as the point of contact for assigned customers.
* Field‑based role (minimum 20% desk‑based) with required customer site visits when there is a clear business need.
* Adhere to defined call cycles for customers and prospects, using a variety of digital media including video calls.
* Assist in the preparation of quotes and submission of tenders.
* Actively involve in the preparation of annual sales budgets and forecasts for the relevant territory.
* Ensure queries are resolved within defined timeframes and against overarching company metrics.
* Improve share of wallet through upselling and cross‑selling at required profitability levels.
* Develop and maintain long‑term commercial relationships with customer accounts, supported by a customer strategy to deliver on the Market Strategy Plan (MSP).
* Enable customers to receive required products and services in a timely manner by ensuring business alignment across sales, operations, and logistics.
* Communicate market and customer needs and demands to the company through identified insights.
* Forecast and track customer account metric achievement.
* Manage projects within customer relationships to achieve customer goals while meeting company goals.
* Identify opportunities to grow business with existing and new customers in line with product line/region strategy.
* Coordinate with colleagues working on the same account to ensure consistent service.
* Collaborate with other sales teams and colleagues to reach prospective customers.
* Service multiple customers concurrently, including prospects, new and existing.
* Keep records of customer transactions and interactions (e.g., Brick Wall, CMP, 5‑min Planner).
* Ensure account records and details are correct in company systems (CRM, SAP) and sales processes are followed.
* Proactively use market data, including ABI, to identify profitable sales opportunities.
