The National Trust is renowned for its food and hospitality. We run 185 cafes, tea-rooms, and restaurants across England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, and we’d love you to join us.
We’re looking for a Food and Beverage Team Member. In this role, you’ll make a real difference to the work of the National Trust and help give visitors a memorable day out.
This location is in a rural area, so please consider your travel arrangements before applying.
Contract type: Zero-hour contract. This means we can’t guarantee a set number of hours each week. Flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We aim to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.
Contract duration: Fixed term until 30th September 2026.
Hours/Working pattern: Candidates must be available to work one or both weekend days (Saturday and Sunday). Shifts run from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Salary: £12.25 per hour.

What you'll be doing
As a Team Member, your main focus will be front of house, welcoming and serving visitors. Your enthusiasm, can-do attitude, and commitment to excellent service will ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience. Teamwork and adaptability are essential in our lively environment.
You’ll strive to understand and meet customer needs, make recommendations, and maintain high standards of food and drink presentation. You may also assist the kitchen team with food preparation.
We provide an induction, training in allergens and food safety, and mentoring. Opportunities for further professional development are available.
