The role
As a Procurement Manager, you’ll utilise your Procurement & Supply Chain experience in a leading role across a range of projects on-site at Rosyth, including facilities management initiatives and notable programmes. You will lead and guide a team of P&SC professionals from Assistant Buyer to Senior Buyer, supporting their growth and development. You will develop sourcing strategies with senior stakeholders, negotiate major subcontracts, and cascade key contract terms to mitigate commercial risks while managing people and ensuring compliance.
* Capture project requirements and build them into the supply chain strategy to meet requisites, maximise performance and reduce risk and complexity
* Lead and manage sourcing and tendering processes in line with project deliverables
* Direct, influence, and manage internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of inputs for robust subcontracts and response strategies
* Support supplier due diligence, onboarding, and qualification processes to ensure approved suppliers
* Establish supplier performance monitoring and cost-saving initiatives
* Develop procurement function capabilities to meet current and future business needs
* Lead a team of Supply Chain personnel and oversee their performance and development
This role is full time, 37 hours per week, based at Rosyth with flexible hybrid working. Agile working and flexible patterns of work (including part-time, condensed hours, and job sharing) may be available; discuss at interview.
Essential Experience
* Experienced procurement practitioner with knowledge of strategic procurement techniques
* Extensive experience in complex project environments
* Experience with Capex equipment procurement and facilities management
* Procurement & Supply Chain activities for Facilities Management (FM), both Hard & Soft FM Services
* Proven track record of achieving outstanding supply chain performance
* Knowledge of NEC3 contracting terms is highly desirable
Qualifications
* MCIPS qualified, working towards MCIPS, or equivalent professional qualification
* Degree level or equivalent, ideally with a manufacturing or engineering background
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance and must be a sole UK national. Some roles require additional background checks and may be subject to national security and Trade Control restrictions; details at GOV.UK.
