We're actively seeking a Commis Chef to join our team at Pennyhill Park for the Hillfield restaurant. As part of a brigade of chefs, your main duties will include assisting in food preparation and service, maintaining high standards, and ensuring kitchen cleanliness and safety in accordance with hotel standards.
Hillfield focuses on hyper-local, sustainable, and high-welfare dishes, embracing the "Farm to Fork - Nose to Tail" philosophy.
Role Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the smooth and safe operation of the kitchen during food service.
* Understanding and adhering to food margins in collaboration with the Chef de Partie.
* Complying with all relevant food safety, hygiene, and health and safety laws.
* Assisting with food preparations as delegated by senior chefs.
* Following recipes and standards set by senior staff.
* Contributing to innovative menu design for various food services.
* Monitoring and controlling the quality of ingredients used.
* Being flexible to meet the catering needs of hotel guests.
* Providing feedback from guests and staff to the Head Chef.
