As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Artworker to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth. The successful candidate will be working within the design team, on various projects including packaging and communication design and will include creating and developing graphic elements fit for print and web.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Create and amend artwork files from master design templates in line with creative guidelines.
2. Adapt images throughout the artwork stages in preparation for repro, supporting the team at all times.
You may be required to offer creative retouching where required.
3. Work alongside the design team, to ensure all creative work is produced to a high standard and completed within the deadline.
4. Working knowledge of a wide variety of printed marketing materials and branding.
5. Work as part of a team designing and producing regular packaging designs.
6. Work to a file management system, ensuring all design work is logged and filed.
7. Strong communication skills, and the ability to present work and reinforce your ideas.
Knowledge and Skills:
8. Excellent use of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.
9. Understanding of colour profiles, file & image formatting and output for print and web.
10. Experience of designing printed leaflets, posters and packaging.
11. Good typography skills and eye for detail.
12. Highly creative with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design work and illustration.
13. A keen understanding of brands, branding principles and the retail industry would be beneficial.
