The Certification officer is responsible for ensuring that certification complies with applicable standards, regulations, and customer requirements through rigorous evaluation. This role involves coordinating with Internal departments as well as Customers when required. Key responsibilities include preparing compliance documentation, managing certificate submissions, supporting inspections, and staying up to date with relevant industry and customer legislative changes.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and manage BSL Level 2 certification packs in line with the internal Training Matrix.
Generate 3.2 certification documentation.
Interpret and apply customer specifications to ensure certification packs meet all requirements.
Create and compile complete Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs).
Review and verify supplier documentation, including test reports, plating, heat treatment, and NDE records.
To support with Cross-functional training of other Certification Officers and Administrators
SKILLS: GCSE Level C or above in Maths and English.
Knowledge of EN 10204 certification documentation (3.1 / 3.2) Knowledge of plating, heat treatment, and NDE processes
Familiarity with standards such as ASME, ASTM, ISO, and DIN specific to fasteners
3 years experience in fastener certification preferred or equivalent industries that use similar certification.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, databases, and document management systems)
Excellent planning, organising, and prioritising skills
Ability to interpret and apply technical standards and regulatory requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
Proven ability to implement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
High level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
Adaptable and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure
Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and certification processes
