At Alpheus (part of Anglian Water Group), we're pioneers in liquid waste recycling, and we're looking for a Waste Treatment Site Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you'll be the Lone Ranger of your own domain, overseeing the daily operations of your section of the facility with independence and flair .
What you’ll be doing:
As the Supervisor of the Waste Treatment Centre, you'll manage your designated area independently, and the key function of your role will be ensuring the safe and compliant processing of liquid waste received via vacuum tankers while delivering exceptional service to our customers.
You'll be the go-to person for overseeing the reception and processing of waste. From ensuring it's the right waste to keeping records alongside s ampling and testing.
Y ou'll troubleshoot and maintain our waste treatment equipment, making sure everything run s smoothly.
You'll be the leader of compliance w ith an understanding of key waste management issues, wastewater, and environmental legislation .
You'll be the friendly face of our operation, building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

What does it take to be successful?
-Our ideal candidate possesses a self-directed mindset honed through experience in the environmental or waste management sector.
-CIWM (WAMITAB) COTC LEVEL 4 qualified (treatment of hazardous waste ), or must be prepared to complete studies to achieve.
-Experience in environmental or the waste management industry, with good knowledge and understanding of key waste management issues, wastewater, and environmental legislation where can demonstrable ability to work within regulatory guidelines / compliance adherence
-While not mandatory, a foundation in chemistry or environmental science is highly valued. Such expertise enriches ability to interpret complex waste compositions and optimize treatment processes accordingly.
