Volunteer Copywriting, Website & Data Support Volunteer | Alzheimer’s and Dementia Support Services — remote, flexible volunteer role
What difference will you make?
When you picture a volunteer role, you might think of frontline work — handing out leaflets at an event, running a stall at a fundraiser, or serving tea at a community centre. Those things matter enormously. But the quiet, behind-the-scenes work can be life-changing. The words you write, the webpages you update, and the data you tidy up can touch hundreds — even thousands — of lives. In this role, you are not “just” writing copy or “just” updating a website. You are building a bridge between people who need help and the support that could transform their daily lives. You are making information accessible, stories are shared, and our services reach those who need them most. And because this role is remote, you can make that difference from wherever you are — whether that’s your living room, a co-working space, or a corner of your favourite café.
What are we looking for?
A successful Copywriting, Website & Data Support Volunteer will bring strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and basic digital literacy, along with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and work both independently and collaboratively. Empathy, sensitivity, and respect for confidentiality are essential when handling personal stories or data, as is patience, persistence, and good organisational ability to manage tasks and deadlines. While previous experience in copywriting, website management, or data handling is welcome, it’s not essential — curiosity, a willingness to learn, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference for people affected by dementia matter most, and full training and ongoing support will be provided.
