Location: Chester le Street Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm Contract type: Long term, temporary Keep an eye on our LinkedIn page for frequent job updates and opportunities: Leader Education Leader Education are seeking a passionate and driven Behaviour Support Mentor to join a specialist Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young people across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 who may be at risk of exclusion or have experienced barriers within mainstream education. You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and work towards positive futures. Students take part in a range of unique experiences including: Forest school sessions Campfire building and outdoor learning Foraging and developing survival skills Contributing to the school’s “grow your own” garden project These experiences help students develop confidence, resilience, independence, and valuable real-world skills in a positive and nurturing setting. The Role As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you’ll work closely with staff to provide consistent support, positive behaviour strategies, and strong role modelling for pupils who require additional guidance both inside and outside the classroom.
