Contract: Full-time or Part-time
Start Date: Immediate or negotiable
Salary: £85-£110 per day (depending on experience)
Aspire People is currently recruiting for a confident and committed Cover Supervisor with experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role is for a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the B14 area of Birmingham.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-set lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher, while maintaining a positive and productive learning environment. Your ability to adapt and support students with a range of SEN needs is key to succeeding in this role.
🌟 Key Responsibilities:
Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
Delivering lesson plans and managing classroom behaviour
Supporting students with SEN to access the curriculum
Working closely with teaching assistants and SENCOs
Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
✅ Requirements:
Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a school-based support role
Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practice
Confidence managing classroom behaviour and engaging learners
Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to challenges
A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Aspire People
