Join Our Team as a Female Support Worker - Driver's Only
Location: Seaford, East Sussex
Salary: £12.30 per hour (£23,985 pro-rata) plus benefits.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, shifts vary between 7:00 am and 10:00 pm, Monday to Sunday (on a shift rota basis).
Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is essential for this role.
Right to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer skilled worker visas.
Who you will be Supporting
Barclay House is a purpose-built residential home for adults with disabilities, specialising in supporting individuals with sight loss. It is a vibrant environment where residents engage in community activities, arts and crafts, and celebrate their individuality.
The team is committed to person-centred support, understanding each person's unique needs and preferences. With strong local connections and enthusiastic volunteers, Barclay House fosters an inclusive and caring community.
Essential Criteria
To be considered, you should demonstrate experience in at least two of the following areas:
* Visual Impairments
* Autism
* Learning Disabilities
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence
About You
If you enjoy making a difference, have a calm and caring nature, and can handle challenging situations, we want to hear from you! Experience with manual UK driving and comfort driving various vehicles is essential.
What You Will Be Doing
* Daily Care & Support: Assisting with personal care, meals, medication, and daily tasks.
* Building Relationships: Getting to know residents, understanding their needs, and supporting their independence.
* Empowering Independence: Supporting personal goals and encouraging creative activities.
* Social Engagement: Facilitating participation in holidays, events, and hobbies.
* Respect & Dignity: Ensuring respectful and dignified treatment of residents and their families.
