Key Responsibilities Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the primary curriculum. Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning and help them achieve their full potential. Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources. Provide targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs or SEND. Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment. Support with classroom management and behaviour strategies in line with school policies. Supervise pupils during non-classroom times, such as lunch and playtimes. Maintain positive relationships with staff, pupils, and parents to support children's progress and wellbeing. Person Specification Essential: Minimum of 3 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant (or similar role) in a UK primary school. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently. A proactive, patient, and flexible approach. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Desirable: Graduate-level education (particularly in Education, Psychology, or related fields)
