We urgently require a dedicated SEND Teacher with a focus on Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join our dynamic team. Our school is deeply committed to providing a holistic education that nurtures personal growth and societal values such as respect, honesty, and independence.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver personalised educational programmes tailored to the SEMH needs of individual students.
Adapt the core curriculum (English, Maths, Science, Computing, PSHCE, and SRE) based on initial assessments to meet the unique needs of each student.
Engage students in a blend of classroom-based and extracurricular activities, ensuring a comprehensive educational experience.
Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to design and implement inspiring lessons.
Assess student progress continually, adjusting teaching methods and materials to optimise learning outcomes.
Promote a supportive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates diversity and fosters respectful relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialisation in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
