Purpose of the Position
The Sampling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all sampling production for our fabrics, wallpapers and leathers. Working closely with our third‑party sampling workshop, you will ensure that all sales samples and display collateral are made to the highest quality, within budget and delivered on time. You will also work closely with our in‑house manufacturing team to ensure that sampling orders for our furniture and lighting finishes run smoothly and on time.
You will work closely with our Client Development and North American Sampling teams to ensure that all sampling orders meet our seasonal launch activity needs, and that global sampling stock levels are optimised for wider business needs.
Success in the role will be demonstrated by efficient supply of samples and collateral to clients and the wider business, to support our overall sales and marketing activity.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Place & monitor production orders for all F&W samples and collateral in line with stock and launch requirements.
* Raise orders for F&L samples with our in‑house manufacturing team, following through QC to delivery.
* QC of sampling orders.
* Ensure that all sampling collateral is delivered to our showrooms and internal teams on time to support seasonal launch deadlines.
* Monitor and optimise sample stock for our UK and export business.
* Ensure smooth replenishment of sampling stock to our North American sampling hub.
* Monitor the sampling workshop’s performance on quality, lead times and service.
* Ensure that all sampling SKU information is kept up to date on our internal systems.
* Provide support, as well as holiday and sickness cover, for the Production Coordinator when required.
Qualifications for the Position
* Excel and Outlook proficiency.
* 1–2 years’ textiles work experience, ideally in a production or manufacturing environment.
* Some knowledge of textile production.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to drive and use own car.
* Experience using ERP systems such as SAP would be an advantage.
