This is a Consultant post to support the current Orthopaedic service in general trauma, and lower limb elective orthopaedics with a specialty interest in revision hip and Knee Surgery. The post holder will be expected to work across the Trust on both the Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospital sites.

Knowledge and Expertise / Subspecialty
Essential criteria
1. Operational experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics
2. Broad based training in Trauma & Orthopaedics and its subspecialties
3. Appropriate experience and surgical expertise in Orthopaedic surgery
4. Fellowship training in Trauma and Revision Hip & Knee Arthroplasty
Desirable criteria
5. NHS experience within the last 3 years
6. Fellowship training in adult soft tissue knee ligament reconstruction
Desirable
Essential criteria
7. Fellowship in Orthopaedics lower limb
Registration
Essential criteria
8. Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Trauma & Orthopaedics, or within six months of obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR (CP) at the time of interview
Qualifications
Essential criteria
9. Appropriate higher orthopaedic surgical qualification (e.g. FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
10. Higher academic degree (MD, PhD or equivalent)
