We are looking for a Bakery Process Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in optimising bakery production processes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about continuous improvement, technical excellence, and working in an international environment.
A career at Dr. Oetker will provide you with an opportunity to:
1. Define, standardise, harmonise, and optimise bakery process parameters across plants.
2. Create and maintain process documentation and work standards.
3. Support machinery commissioning, first productions, and non-standard production runs.
4. Lead optimisation projects and contribute to investment projects, including international initiatives.
5. Provide ongoing technical support to the Production Department and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
6. Train production staff on bakery processes and equipment use.
7. Analyse process data, propose improvements, and implement cost-reduction strategies.
8. Ensure compliance with HACCP, health and safety, and company quality policies.
What We’re Looking For
Experience:
9. Minimum 3 years in an industrial bakery or as a process engineer in food production.
10. Proven experience in optimisation
11. International project experience is desirable.
Education:
12. Minimum: Technical college or equivalent.
13. Preferred: Degree in life sciences (Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology).
Skills & Competencies:
14. Strong theoretical and practical baking knowledge.
15. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools.
16. Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
17. Ability to train and communicate complex issues clearly.
18. Proactive, results-driven, and comfortable working under ambiguity.
19. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in international teams.
Technical Requirements:
20. Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, SharePoint; knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks is an advantage.
21. Driving licence
22. Language skills: Intermediate English (essential), advanced English and good German (preferred).
The role will require occassional work outside of normal hours and international travel.
