Overview
Join the Planner role at Midnight Mixtape. Located in Aberdeenshire, this role sits within the Development Management Section of the Planning & Economy Service, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality planning service.
A flexible blended working approach is used, with some home working practices and time for site visits, team collaboration, meetings and training as necessary.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for assessing and determining a varied caseload of planning applications and pre-application enquiries.
* Liaise with colleagues in other Services of the Council and external organisations on development management matters.
* Provide advice on planning matters to the public, developers, and Elected Members of the Council.
* Contribute to delivering a high-quality planning service within Aberdeenshire as part of a team.
* Undertake site visits as required and participate in office-based and digital workflows.
Qualifications
* Educated to degree level or working towards a degree in Town and Country Planning, or an equivalent qualification that allows progression to a RTPI-recognised planning course.
* Eligibility for membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
* Experience as a Trainee, Graduate, or Chartered Planner is acceptable for the role depending on level.
Requirements
* Full and valid driving licence (essential for site visits).
* Aberdeenshire Council is an A-rated sponsor; roles are eligible for sponsorship if selected as the preferred candidate.
* Office locations: Banff and Inverurie, with flexible working arrangements.
* Minimum of 1 reference from current or most recent employer.
