Production Engineer - Tooling & Manufacturing Support Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing Location: Norfolk area Type: Full-time, 12-month contract (potential to become permanent) Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Days Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Transport: Own vehicle required due to site location Visa: This role does not offer visa sponsorship ISQ Recruitment is supporting a Norfolk-based engineering company looking to bring a Production Engineer into their team. This is a hands-on, practical role focused on improving build processes, supporting tooling design, and helping to scale up production for an expanding product range. This opportunity would suit someone with experience in a production, tooling or manufacturing support role — but could also suit someone from a technician or shopfloor background looking to step into engineering. The Role: Support the design and introduction of jigs, fixtures, and build tooling Help improve build sequences and reduce changeover/setup times Collaborate with engineers and technicians during build trials Suggest practical improvements to product design for manufacture Contribute to basic documentation (work instructions, process notes, checklists) Assist with sourcing and implementing new tools or small equipment Work closely with production to support training and issue resolution Get involved in lean improvements, workplace layout, and process changes Maintain safe working practices and support team-based problem solving What We're Looking For: Essential: Experience in a production, tooling, or hands-on engineering role Comfortable using CAD (Creo preferred, but not essential) Strong understanding of manufacturing principles and practical build methods Able to interpret technical drawings and work with technicians Self-motivated, flexible, and team-focused Own transport due to rural location Full right to work in the UK — visa sponsorship is not available Desirable: Experience with jigs, fixtures, or basic test rigs Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or process improvement Familiarity with tooling layouts, PFMEA or quality documentation Why Apply?
