Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Services
We are looking for a confident, skilled, and passionate Deputy Manager to join an established children’s residential home located in a rural setting in Bromyard, Herefordshire. The Deputy Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of care in a therapeutic residential environment.
In this position, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people. Your responsibilities include providing strong leadership and supporting staff development, promoting safeguarding and safety, and ensuring that the service consistently meets and exceeds regulatory standards. You will foster a culture of therapeutic practice and emotional resilience while acting as a role model for outstanding professional conduct.
The deputy manager will also be involved in collaborating with education and clinical professionals to deliver holistic, person-centred care for children and young people. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for making a positive difference in young people's lives, who possesses strong safeguarding knowledge, emotional resilience, and leadership skills.
Candidates should have at least two years’ experience in children’s residential care, hold a QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People, and possess a full UK manual driving licence with access to transport. The ability to work a 2 on / 4 off shift pattern, including sleep-ins, is essential. Experience of or commitment to attaining a Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification is desirable, along with experience leading teams or stepping into management responsibilities.
