This hybrid role combines technical payroll expertise, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives. Duties will include: * Oversee end-to-end in-house payroll processing for the entire business. * Provide expert advice to line managers on payroll and workforce information. * Ensure payroll authorisations are in line with audit and regulatory standards. * Manage all payroll-related statutory filings (RTI, P11D, PSA, etc.). * Serve as the main liaison with internal and external auditors. * Ensure compliance with data protection legislation in payroll data management. * Lead payroll improvement projects and promote best practices. * Monitor and improve payroll processes and team performance. * Keep current with payroll law changes and disseminate updates accordingly. * Train and develop Payroll Team members in process improvement and policy interpretation. * Set and monitor KPIs for service quality (e.g., error reports).
