Please be aware our Travel Money team have concluded formal consultation following the announcement on the 30th July indicating that the Sainsbury's Travel Money business would transfer to Fexco on 31st January 2026. This role will TUPE transfer to Fexco, operating under the company Currency Exchange Corporation (CEC Ltd) on the 1st February 2026. Post transfer colleague rate of pay or salary, frequency of pay and holiday entitlement will remain the same, however there are a number of changes to benefits as colleagues will no longer work for Sainsbury's including the removal of discount and the share schemes.
Role Overview
Joining Sainsbury's Travel Money team as a Travel Money Manager offers an exciting opportunity to lead and inspire a team across multiple locations and deliver exceptional customer service. With a focus on providing expert advice on travel money to customers and driving business performance, you will bring out the best in your team and contribute to their personal and professional development. You will benefit from an organised and supportive work environment, while also having the autonomy to make independent decisions and handle challenging situations.
Responsibilities
* Lead by example and inspire a team across 3 to 5 Travel Money shops in your designated area, promoting professional service and customer experience.
* Set targets, monitor performance through observations and regular reviews, and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
* Follow procedures to minimise risk, protect assets, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
* Build professional relationships with Sainsbury's colleagues, develop marketing ideas, and provide regular performance updates to the Area Manager.
Qualifications
* Previous managerial experience in foreign exchange, travel agency, or banking environments.
* Strong leadership skills with a proactive and resilient mindset.
* Excellent communication, organisational efficiency, and attention to detail.
* Analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong desire to develop the team.
* Ability to prioritise a busy workload, manage costs and demonstrate success through measurable business performance.
