Finance Manager
We are seeking an experienced and hands on Finance Manager to oversee the day to day finance function and to play a key role in our senior management team to ensure the continuous success of the business.
The role combines core financial responsibilities with broader operational involvement, making it ideal for someone looking to expand their impact beyond finance into general management and strategic decision-making.
The Finance Manager will have specific responsibility for:
* Managing the finance function throughout the business and managing the finance team.
* Managing the purchasing functions within the business.
* Providing strong financial analysis of company results and trends and offering financial advice to the Directors.
* Overseeing any cost exercises in relevant to production and warehouse activities.
* Acting as the primary contact for external parties for finance activities, including liaising with banks, pension providers, insurance companies and auditors.
* Producing year end statutory accounts and working with our auditors to complete year end audit and tax pack.
* Preparing budgets, forecasting and management accounts.
* Managing and processing the monthly payroll and processing year end tax submissions.
* Continually reviewing our pricing structure.
* Ensuring Trademark registrations are maintained and up to date.
* Acting as Company Secretary, including maintaining information on Companies House.
* Leading and supporting all matters relating to health and safety.
We believe the ideal candidate should hold the following qualifications and competencies:
* Fully qualified Accountant, ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
* Minimum of five years’ experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing or mail order environment.
* Solid understanding of payroll processing.
* Experience of management accounts production.
