Senior Associate - Real Estate (4+ PQE)
Legal 500 Boutique | City-Quality Work | West End Location
Are you a Real Estate Senior Associate looking to take on more responsibility, better quality work, and a genuine route to partnership - all while avoiding the bureaucracy of a larger firm?
This Legal 500 West End firm has carved out a reputation for delivering City-quality commercial property work, with a strong focus on investment, development, and joint ventures. With a growing flow of high-value instructions, they're looking to hire a talented Real Estate lawyer (4+ PQE) to join their close-knit and high-performing team.
The Firm
This is a boutique with genuine strength in depth. The firm was founded by senior lawyers from top-tier City practices and has since grown into one of the West End's most respected outfits for commercial property work.
They act for a client base that includes institutional investors, private equity funds, developers, family offices, and ultra-high-net-worth individuals - and often work on deals more commonly seen at much larger firms.
The team is lean, entrepreneurial and profitable. There are no politics, no micromanagement, and no glass ceilings. Performance is recognised and well rewarded, and lawyers are given the autonomy to build something meaningful.
Recent work includes:
* Advising on the acquisition and redevelopment of a 45-acre contaminated site, including complex environmental issues, pre-lets to John Lewis and forward sales to institutional investors
* Acting on a £100m+ joint venture for a major luxury residential scheme backed by international capital
* Advising on the £150m sale of an offshore property investment portfolio
* Acquiring two Hilton-branded hotels for £100m
* Structuring £140m+ in senior and mezzanine finance for mixed-use developments
The Role
You'll work directly with one of the firm's Founding Partners and take the lead on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including:
* Acquisitions and disposals (including site assembly and forward funding)
* Development and regeneration projects
* Investment work for institutional and private clients
* Landlord and tenant matters
* Joint ventures and corporate structuring
You'll be encouraged to take ownership of your work, manage key client relationships and help shape the long-term direction of the team.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
* City-quality work in a more flexible, autonomous environment - no billables targets
* Strong, established client base across UHNW individuals, funds, and developers
* Close-knit, high-performing team with a collegiate culture
* Genuine progression route to partnership - no bureaucracy or time bars
* Direct access to clients and senior partners from day one
Requirements
* You will be a Real Estate Solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE
* Comfortable managing transactions and advising clients directly
* Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help grow the practice
* Background in a respected City, West End or strong regional firm
This is a standout opportunity for a Senior Associate to join a high-quality West End firm with premium work, a genuine path to partnership, and a culture that values autonomy and reward.
