Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, highly‑motivated and enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our busy Urology Procedures department. Some urology experience is desirable, but in‑house training will be provided. Our outpatient department runs various clinics and procedures Monday to Friday, with potential Saturday work in the future. The department is expanding and may work until 18:00 pm during busy periods.
Responsibilities
* Undertake and record comprehensive nursing assessment and planning, delivering and evaluating high‑standard evidence‑based nursing care to a diverse group of patients.
* Deliver care without direct supervision and be accountable for the care delivered and any omissions of care.
* Teach and supervise more junior staff, students and the non‑registered nursing workforce.
* Act as a role model, delivering care with empathy and compassion as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse – Part 1.
* Current NMC registration.
* Evidence of recent continuous professional development.
Experience
* Experience (through placement or employment) of working in an acute clinical environment.
