You will provide site commercial leadership to the project, construction, and commissioning teams on site, including through the leadership of a team of dedicated site contract managers and quantity surveyors. Hinckley Point C (HPC) will be a new nuclear power station in the UK.

Once operation it will deliver 3.2 GW of carbon free electricity, powering 6 million homes, and hence contributing to the Net Zero and strategic autonomy objectives of the UK which will help Britain achieve Net Zero. Arabelle Solutions plays a key role in the entry into operation of the HPC power station through the delivery of 2 turbine islands on a turnkey basis which means that Arabelle Solutions are designing, procuring, manufacturing, installing and finally commissioning all power generating equipment of the conventional island, including the record breaking 1750 MW Arabelle turbine, fitted with the 75 inches last stage bladeEssential ResponsibilitiesLead and standardise site commercial and contract management practices across Arabelle Solutions, enhancing project profitability, cost efficiency, and client satisfaction.Collaborate with Construction & Commissioning (C&C) teams to drive execution excellence, including claims, variations, and change management.Gather and report execution data and contract metrics; audit sites for compliance and process improvements.Share lessons learned and feed insights into tendering processes to enhance future deliverables.Manage a regional team of Site Commercial Managers, including recruitment, development, and succession planning.Advise, coach, and support staff on contractual and commercial matters; oversee HR cycles and performance.Ensure commercial tools and competencies are in place to support current and future site execution needs.Stay current with construction and industry trends to support business goals.Lead or support contractual audits and claims preparation/negotiations related to site contracts.Support large and complex projects at Arabelle Solutions through the site commercial manager team, focusing on:Take full responsibility for all site commercial and contractual matters at Hinkley Point C, managing obligations with customers, partners, and subcontractors through to resolution.Implement site-specific commercial procedures for claims, insurance, correspondence, and notifications.Drive contractual and commercial actions, including timely issuance of notices to clients, insurers, and subcontractors.Proactively manage subcontractor claims to protect Arabelle Solutions' interests.Identify and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring compliance with contract terms while maximizing financial and operational outcomes.Collaborate with site leadership to shape commercial strategies that enhance profitability and client satisfaction.Ensure strict adherence to site-related contract terms to safeguard Arabelle Solutions position.Track all site-related costs in detail to support future tendering and budgeting.Work closely with Legal to provide sound contractual guidance, particularly in matters involving dispute resolution.Qualifications / RequirementsUniversity Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business Administration, or LawUnderstanding of large scale construction projects and contract law10 years or more, experience in a claim management/contract management discipline in an international project and/or construction environmentProven experience in commercial site management and contract management leadership in the power industries, incl. signification construction site exposure, and capabilities to explain and train others in these fieldsExperience of high-level negotiations with subcontractors and business partnersDesired CharacteristicsProven experience with FIDIC contracts, including negotiation and administration of construction subcontracts.Skilled in preparing and managing complex EOT and cost claims, and proactively handling contract and project performance issues for Arabelle SolutionsStrong communicator with advanced skills in spreadsheets, databases, and presentation toolsEffective team leader with solid employee management in line with local, business, and project requirementsFluent in EnglishConfident in stakeholder engagement and negotiation within multicultural environmentsIndependent, proactive, and solution-oriented with sound judgmentResilient and pragmatic with a strong problem-solving mindsetAble to work effectively within a matrixed organization and influence across senior levelsA collaborative team player with leadership experience and strong business acumenJoin us and work with global teams to support global customers !
