SEND Teacher - Gravesend
Are you a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher looking for a rewarding long-term opportunity? We’re working in partnership with a fantastic school in Gravesend that is seeking a dedicated educator to support a small group of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is a full teaching role with planning and responsibilities included, starting ASAP with the potential to go permanent.
Contract: Long term to permanent, Starting ASAP
Salary: £168.80 - £232.57 per day
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of SEND pupils
* Take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and classroom management
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families
* Track progress and adapt strategies to meet individual learning goals
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and liaise with external agencies when required
* Foster emotional wellbeing and social development alongside academic growth
Qualifications & Experience:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ideally Primary trained
* Proven experience working with children with a range of SEND
* Experience supporting pupils with Down’s Syndrome is desirable but not essential
* Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies and EHCPs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A nurturing, patient, and resilient approach to teaching
