As the world’s largest pure play programme management business, this role is focused on improving performance in development, procurement, construction and operations through the provision of digital insight and advice, provision of applications or the development and delivery of complex digital services Turner & Townsend is seeking a senior digital leader to drive the delivery and growth our digital Energy and Natural Resources services in Scotland. This role has three key focus areas: Building customer relationships, securing and managing delivery of services to existing clients in major capital projects and programmes Securing new market opportunities and raising local market visibility Digital Energy Team leadership and development in Scotland The successful candidate will work in close partnership with our Digital leadership, Key Account Leads and the Global Managing Director for Clean Energy & Transmission to shape digital services, lead the delivery of digital transformation projects and position Turner & Townsend as a trusted long-term partner. You will lead complex digital transformation engagements across digital strategy, PMIS and data, OT and IT convergence, and asset information and ISO 19650 adoption. This role suits a proactive individual who combines strong account leadership with deep digital advisory expertise. Key Requirements. Deep experience advising Energy and Natural Resources clients on digital transformation, covering strategy, technology, data and operating model change. Electricity distribution and transmission experience preferred. Strong knowledge of digital asset management approaches, including asset lifecycle planning, asset performance insights, structured asset data models and alignment to ISO 55000 principles. Practical experience designing or improving asset information environments, including ISO 19650 compliant information management, structured data capture and integrated CDE solutions. Understanding of asset registers, hierarchies, maintenance strategies and the data foundations needed for effective asset management across transmission, distribution and energy networks. Strong knowledge of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) ecosystems, enterprise reporting and data governance for major capital programmes, including how PMIS data supports asset and operational decision making. Practical understanding of OT and IT environments, including interfaces, system risks, telemetry, SCADA and the convergence of operational and enterprise data. Ability to lead senior client workshops, define digital and asset information roadmaps and translate business and operational objectives into executable delivery plans. Comfortable engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with the ability to translate asset, engineering and digital requirements into clear directions for delivery teams. Experience analysing asset performance data, KPIs, reliability insights, maintenance metrics and programme information to develop actionable recommendations. Proven ability to build trusted senior relationships across client organisations, influencing decisions and shaping long-term digital and asset strategies. Strong commercial awareness and experience identifying growth opportunities within major accounts. Confident in preparing and delivering proposals, bids and senior-level presentations. Track record of coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, including digital, engineering, asset management, programme management and cost specialists. Experience providing coaching and mentoring to consultants, supporting capability growth in digital and asset management disciplines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to different audiences and environments. Strong organisational and analytical capabilities, with experience delivering through Agile or Waterfall delivery models. Comfortable working alongside technical developers, data specialists and systems integrators in complex asset intensive environments. Must be happy to travel to London 1/2 times a month. SCOPE Consultants will work within our Digital team. They may also operate within wider Turner & Townsend project teams from other business units. In addition, they will need to interact with clients and other project stakeholders. They will support a wide range of projects of all sizes and dimensions. From time to time this may include working with consultants from different agencies. The successful candidate will own: Delivery of high-impact digital transformation programmes across strategic sectors, such as Energy & Natural Resources, Defence, Infrastructure and Government. Act as a trusted advisor to clients on digital strategy, technology adoption, and enterprise architecture. Contribute to business growth through proactive lead generation, bid management, and proposal development. Develop and mentor team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Shape and enhance Turner & Townsend’s digital service offerings through productization and knowledge management. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Assisting the team of Analysts & Consultants on a range of tasks, to include: Account Leadership and Growth Lead the successful operation and growth of the Scotland Transmission and Distribution Framework. Build trusted senior relationships across the client organisation. Identify opportunities to expand digital services, enhance delivery quality and support year-on-year fee growth. Work with the Key Account Lead and Global MD for Renewable Energy to develop strategic account plans and shape multi-year value propositions. Business Generation Develop and secure new opportunities with existing and new Energy and Natural Resources clients. Support proposal development, bid writing and complex client presentations. Strengthen Turner & Townsend’s market position through thought leadership and sector engagement. Service Delivery Excellence Lead major digital transformation programmes in Energy and Natural Resources. Oversee delivery across digital strategy, PMIS and enterprise reporting, OT and IT convergence, and asset information management aligned to ISO 19650. Define digital roadmaps that connect client objectives with technology, process and data outcomes. Provide direction to multi-disciplinary teams and ensure delivery quality, measurable benefits and strong client satisfaction. People and Operations Mentor and grow a hybrid team of digital consultants in Scotland and the wider UK. Support resource planning, capability development and operational performance of the Digital Advisory practice. Promote a collaborative, inclusive and high-performance culture. Service Development Contributes to the development of digital advisory playbooks, frameworks and delivery methodologies. Improve our PMIS, data, asset information and OT and IT convergence service offer. Support knowledge management and continuous improvement across the practice.
