Senior Residential Support Worker – Secondment Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker for a secondment within our Children and young people's service at Hebble Lodge. The role involves caring for children and young people, supporting them across education, independent living skills, recreational activities and keywork sessions to further their life skills.
Responsibilities
* Provide care and support to children and young people at Hebble Lodge across all aspects of their lives.
* Support education, independent living skills, recreational activities and keywork sessions.
* Manage shift schedules covering sleep overs, evenings, weekends, school and public holidays.
* Lead, coach and influence staff, champion shared evidence‑based practice and promote timely implementation.
* Assess and respond safely to conflict, complaints and crisis situations, mitigate risks and delegate tasks appropriately.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Diploma (QCF) in Children and Young People’s workforce or nationally recognised equivalent.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Relevant work experience in child or young people care.
Additional Requirements
Applicants will need a DBS check (unless exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act). Familiarity with safeguarding practice and a commitment to child welfare are essential.
