Automation Tester (API & Playwright) Contract | Remote | UK Public Sector Project Overview Ceox Services is seeking an Automation Tester to support quality assurance across modern, API-driven applications. This role will focus on API testing, automation, and performance validation, working closely with developers and delivery teams to ensure stable, reliable releases across multiple environments. Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for a hands-on tester with strong API and automation testing experience, comfortable working across both manual and automated test approaches. You should be confident testing backend services, building automation frameworks, and managing test activity within CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities Perform manual API testing using Swagger and Postman. Design and maintain automation tests using Playwright. Manage and execute test suites in Azure DevOps. Conduct API and integration testing across services. Perform load and performance testing using JMeter. Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to validate requirements. Ensure defects are clearly logged, tracked, and resolved. Mandatory Requirements Strong manual API testing experience (Swagger, Postman). Hands-on automation testing with Playwright. Experience managing test plans and suites in Azure DevOps. Solid understanding of API and integration testing. Experience with load/performance testing using JMeter. Desirable Experience working within UK Public Sector environments. Exposure to Power Apps and Power Pages testing. Soft Skills Clear and confident communication skills. Ability to explain testing outcomes to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong team-player mindset with a proactive, quality-driven approach.
