KEY ACTIVITIES
1. Perform general design duties such as: Provide innovative & unique solutions to technical challengesComplete feasibility studies on conceptual solutionsCreate detailed manufacture/assembly drawingsControl Product Data Maintenance (PDM) informationPrepare design packages for design reviewsPrepare test procedures, reports & assist workshop personnel as requiredSupport all regions with technical expertiseProvide support to Supply Chain / Quotation teams regarding technical mattersLiaise with clients for specific project requirementsMentor, coach, and train Design Engineers and Draughtspersons as assigned by the Engineering SupervisorCover for the Engineering Supervisor when required
INDIVIDUAL QHSE RESPONSIBILITIES
2. Demonstrate commitment to the quality of service, including quality of records produced, aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations
3. Demonstrate personal commitment to the protection of Health, Safety, and the Environment
4. Follow company QHSE Policy, relevant operational procedures, HSE procedures, and risk assessments
5. Communicate and report any perceived non-conformances or faults in the service provided or in the company's Quality or HSE Management Systems
QUALIFICATIONS
6. Essential: A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a technical subject
7. Preferred: A master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with knowledge of design calculations
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
8. Essential:
Extensive experience in the design, testing, and installation of downhole completion products, with time spent in an engineering design office environmentAbility to effectively utilize resources, plan, control, and take responsibility for own workGood communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and unsupervised, exercising initiative to resolve potential problemsUnderstanding of general engineering principles and the ability to analyze data to detect and resolve performance issues
9. Preferred:
Experience in the design of downhole valve systemsExperience in working with operator-driven R&D environmentsKnowledge of FEA/CFD analysisExperience in 3D modeling (SolidWorks preferred)Experience with MathCad or similar calculation packages
