We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Motor Vehicle Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across a range of programmes—from Level 1 to Level 3, apprenticeships, and adult learning. This exciting role combines hands-on workshop teaching with engaging classroom theory, providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.
What You’ll Do:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
* Teach and assess across full-time, part-time, and apprenticeship routes.
* Support learners to achieve their goals and progress into employment or further education.
* Promote health and safety, industry relevance, and inclusive learning.
* Liaise with employers, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in quality assurance.

Is This You?
Relevant Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Engineering or related discipline.
· Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one).
· Recent experience in the automotive industry or teaching in a motor vehicle environment.
· Up-to-date knowledge of modern vehicle technologies and diagnostic procedures.
· Strong communication and organisational skills.
· Strong communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills
· Commitment to supporting learners from diverse backgrounds
· Effective organisational skills (self and workload) · extensive knowledge of own subject area
· (in addition to teaching ability) effective verbal and written communication skills
· Proficiency with software needed in role · Experience of working with people in a learning environment
Desirable:
· Assessor and/or IQA qualifications (TAQA, A1, V1).
· Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle technology.
· Previous experience delivering apprenticeship programmes or liaising with employers.
· Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
