Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Blandford Forum, Dorset, to recruit dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistants for a September start.
This provision supports secondary-aged pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties (BESD). Due to the need for consistency and strong relationship-building, the school is seeking full-time Teaching Assistants who can commit to providing stability and continuity for its learners.
The Role:
Full-time Teaching Assistant positions starting in September
Based either at the main site in Blandford Forum or at one of two satellite provisions in Poole
Supporting students with behavioural, emotional, and social needs
Working closely with teaching staff to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal development
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with young people with additional needs, particularly BESD, is highly desirable
Calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour management
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and making a difference
Ability to commit to a full-time role for continuity

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
