Mortgage Intelligence Holdings are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer with a background in financial services, mortgages, or insurance who is ready to take the next step into a Compliance Manager role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of FCA regulations and compliance frameworks, along with a proven track record in regulatory compliance, risk management, and process improvement.
Main responsibilities:
1. Oversee the Compliance Team, conduct 1:1s, appraisals, and team meetings to ensure efficiency and development.
2. Enhance team skills through targeted training initiatives.
3. Identify and mitigate customer and business risks by analysing management information.
4. Prepare reports for the Board and work closely with key business areas to implement compliance strategies.
5. Stay updated on industry trends and refine compliance frameworks to improve client outcomes.
Skills and experience required:
1. Strong understanding of MCOB, ICOBS, DISP, data protection, and money laundering regulations.
2. Ability to identify root causes and develop improvement plans.
3. Lead by example to create a positive working environment.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for insightful reporting.
5. Attention to Detail and IT Proficiency
