We are seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to play a pivotal role in accelerating business growth across established and emerging markets. This is a senior, externally facing role suited to a commercially astute sales professional with a strong track record in motorsport, coupled with the ambition and credibility to open doors in defence and aerospace.
You will be responsible for developing high-value client relationships, shaping commercial strategy, and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships. This role sits at the intersection of sales execution and commercial leadership, with a clear mandate to grow revenue, margin, and market presence.
Responsibilities
Commercial Growth and Sales Leadership
* Drive new business acquisition and revenue growth within the motorsport sector, leveraging an established personal network
* Identify, develop, and convert opportunities in adjacent sectors including defence and aerospace
* Own the end-to-end commercial process from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
* Develop and execute account plans for strategic customers, focusing on long-term value rather than short-term wins
Strategic Market Development
* Support leadership in defining and executing the company’s commercial growth strategy
* Assess new markets, customers, and applications where existing capabilities can be deployed
* Work closely with engineering, operations, and delivery teams to shape compelling customer propositions
* Contribute to pricing strategy, bid responses, and commercial risk assessment
Relationship and Brand Development
* Act as a senior commercial ambassador for the business at industry events, customer meetings, and trade shows
* Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, procurement teams, and technical decision-makers
* Strengthen the company’s reputation within motorsport while positioning it credibly for regulated sectors
Internal Collaboration and Governance
* Provide accurate sales forecasting and pipeline reporting
* Support continuous improvement of commercial processes and CRM discipline
* Mentor junior sales or commercial team members where appropriate
Qualifications
Essential
* Proven success in senior B2B sales or commercial roles within the motorsport sector
* Demonstrable ability to generate revenue through network-led and consultative sales
* Strong commercial acumen, including contract negotiation and margin management
* Confidence operating at board and senior leadership level
Desirable
* Exposure to defence, aerospace, or similarly regulated industries
* Understanding of complex engineering or manufacturing environments
* Experience contributing to wider commercial or go-to-market strategy
