Job Description
At Mott MacDonald, we believe engineering is more than just infrastructure—it's about shaping a future that's resilient, inclusive, and sustainable. As climate change challenges our environment and communities, civil engineers are at the heart of creating solutions that protect natural resources, improve lives, and foster economic and social growth for generations to come.

You’ll be directly involved in the design of critical infrastructure that supports the transmission of low‑carbon energy across the UK. Depending on the project stage, your work will span: FEED and Detailed Design phases, Civil works design, including platforms (earthworks, embankments, retaining walls), access roads (temporary and permanent), and drainage systems (SuDS, Infodrainage); Structural design, covering foundations, beams, columns, and connections; feasibility studies and optioneering exercises to identify optimal solutions; and site visits to assess conditions and support construction phases.

For this reason, we cannot accept applications from candidates who would be working under the Graduate visa route or other time‑limited visas, due to their temporary nature and the requirement for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route in the future.
