An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Larchwood Primary School as aHigher Level Teaching Assistant(HLTA) tocover classes when teacher are released for PPA, courses and leadership time as well as any staff absences.
Larchwood Primary School is a highly successful and popular two-form entry primary school located in Pilgrim's Hatch, Brentwood. Our mission statement is all about 'Achievement and Enjoyment'. We want our children to do well at school, reaching their potential while enjoying their primary years. Our children are fab! They are well behaved, enjoy coming to school and are ready and willing to learn, leaving Larchwood ready for secondary school. Our community believes in what we are doing and parents are hugely supportive of the school. Staff are dedicated, skilled, friendly and work well as part of a team.
In our most recent Ofsted inspection in July 2024, the glowing report recognised how good we are. They stated, 'pupils enjoy attending this happy and welcoming school', that 'pupils are kind and respect each other' and that 'pupils behave well in lessons'. 'Staff are immensely proud to be part of the school' and 'leaders have created an environment where staff are incredibly well-respected and supported'.
Larchwood has been part of the DET academy trust for nine years. The Trust currently consisting of two secondary schools and three primary schools.

About you
You will have a passion for teaching and learning and be able to work as part of a strong and committed team to give our children the best start to school they deserve.
·Ideally have an NVQ 3 for teaching assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
· Professional but also a fun and creative individual
· Understands the importance of their part in the bigger picture
· Knows how to assess organically and meet the learning needs of all children
· Be willing to be involved in all aspects of school life
Scale 6 Point 13 to 17
£28,163 to £30,060 plus OFA
Actual salary = £20,067.25
Based on 39 working weeks, 30 hours per week
