Newly created Senior Audit Manager opportunity with a well-established, highly regarded Accountancy Practice on the outskirts of Wigan. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance in a new role created to meet business demand and business growth on the back of a recent MBO, your responsibilities will include:
* Managing/Scheduling your own portfolio of audits from planning to completion (client business sectors include construction, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, and charities).
* Supervising the audit team.
* Identifying any audit matters, dealing with them where appropriate and referring them on to the partner when necessary.
* Ensuring files are complete and ready for Partner review and that all pertinent points are raised in a timely manner.
* Liaising with clients ensuring a timely delivery of services and manage the relationship in a professional manner.
* Handling any client queries.
* Organising client meetings including agendas and memos.
* Managing staff appraisals and development.
* Maintaining positive relationship with clients, potential clients, introducers, and key stakeholders.
* Encouraging a positive office culture and good team morale.
* Budget responsibility.
* Effective use of a variety of auditing methods (including data analytics) to improve efficiency.
* Audit quality and cold file review outcome.
Applicants will be experienced audit professionals with a minimum 3 years post ACA/ACCA qualification, preferably 5 years+. You will have excellent communication/people skills and the ability to build good internal and external business relationships at all levels. You will be a proven leader, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to deliver the best possible results. Caseware / Mercia Audit methodology knowledge advantageous. Salary to £65k (Possibly some flexibility) with benefits including 5% pension, 25 days holidays, health plan and a 37.5 hr week. Fully office based (no hybrid) with flexibility around start/end times.
