Midgard is the main contracting division of the £800m turnover JRL Group and utilises all the company's in-house resources and facilities to provide clients with a bespoke construction service. We have gone back to the time when contractors carried out work themselves with a dedicated, reliable workforce and their own fleet of plant and equipment. Due to continued growth we are seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a tenacious attitude, with a desire to succeed and progress in their career. They will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results. Other responsibilities: * Provision of guidance and advice on valuation of work in progress and future projections. * Negotiating with client’s representatives, sub-contractors and other consultants. * Advise on contractual implications of intended courses of action. * When appointed, undertake the integrated role of package manager on a project. * Advise on commercial risks within the project or projects. * Preparation of monthly contract review reports. * Preparation of monthly management accounts information. * Identify change and implement change control process and agreement. * Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement. Requirements: * Ideally you will have experience of managing large Residential new build projects. * Works collaboratively and uses influence to gain resolution of issues. * Seeks out ways to add value to customer’s business. * Strives for achievement of business goals. * Always puts safety first. * Shows initiative in resolving problems. * Inspires, challenges and motivates others
