Primary Responsibility
Support the purchase ledger activities through daily administration of payments.
List areas of daily and long-term responsibilities
• Accurately input invoice details on to the purchase ledger system
• Verify invoices to purchase order details
• Refer price and quantity questions to relevant department
• Verifying VAT details and accurately input details on to the purchase ledger system
• Check and reconcile suppliers statements to invoices and input it to the system
• Ensure suppliers statement where prompt payment discounts are offered are reconciled and authorised for payment within the terms offered
• Chase suppliers for credit notes for returned or damaged goods.
• Resolve all purchase ledger quarries promptly and efficiently
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers and credit control team
• File invoices and statement
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
• Ensure telephone, email and fax queries are dealt with to a high professional standard
• Ensure all documentation meets the company and legislative requirements, contributing to continuous improvement of the administrative function
• Carrying out such further tasks as may from time to time be delegated by your line manager
• Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as may be reasonably expected of the role and as necessary in order to achieve the objectives of the department and JJ Food Service goals.
• To ensure that the company internal/external customer care & equal opportunity policies are adhered to at all times.

Education
4 GCSE’s A-C including English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications
Physical Requirements
Lifting: The job may involve lifting of papers box (13 kg), computers (6 kg), archive folders, and archive boxes (16 kg),
Physical requirements: pushing, pulling the trolley to carry the above items occasionally.
Equipment: Sack barrow (trolley), use of step ladder to access folders from shelves.
