We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training Advisor to join our dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Site People Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating all on-site training, learning, and development activities for a diverse group of colleagues. In some sites, this role will encompass a 24/7 operation, requiring flexibility and excellent organisational skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the People Team and Managers to design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to meet the specific needs of our colleagues.
2. Coordinate and deliver engaging training sessions and workshops, utilising various methodologies and resources to enhance learning outcomes.
3. Evaluate training needs and conduct regular assessments to identify skill gaps, then develop strategies to address them effectively.
4. Maintain training records and ensure accurate documentation of training activities, including attendance, feedback, and progress reports.
5. Foster a positive learning environment, encouraging continuous professional development among colleagues.
6. Liaise with external training providers to source appropriate training materials and courses.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in training and development.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of training initiatives with organisational goals and objectives.
9. Provide guidance and support to colleagues throughout their learning journey, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
10. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
11. Regularly communicate with colleagues to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
About you:
As well as a 'hands on' attitude and the ability to react well to change (in a fast moving environment), you will also need to have:
1. Proven experience as a Training Advisor/Coordinator or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of learning and development principles, methodologies, and adult learning theories.
3. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
4. Familiarity with different training techniques and tools, including e-learning platforms.
5. Proficient in using learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant software.
6. Manufacturing or logistics experience.
7. Experience advising, supporting, and coaching managers.
8. A high level of customer service with the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly.
9. Ability to act on own initiative and 'think outside the box.'
