They work with many familiar companies from offices to banks, cash handling services and Government buildings. As a Junior Installation Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and installation of small-scale projects, including barriers, turnstiles, and roadblockers. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in project management, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for handling multiple projects simultaneously, many of which involve high-profile clients. Excellent communication skills are paramount, as you will be the primary point of contact, interfacing with individuals ranging from Company Directors to Civil Contractors. Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the planning, progression, and installation of small projects. Client Interaction: Develop and maintain relationships with high-profile clients, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Multitasking: Manage multiple projects concurrently, demonstrating the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results under time pressure. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing. Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation and reports. Problem Solving: Address and resolve issues efficiently, accurately, and methodically, maintaining a focus on project goals. Commercial Awareness: Develop a balance between technical understanding and commercial considerations. Training: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in using computers; CAD experience is advantageous. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently and methodically under pressure. Capability to think both commercially and technically. Minimum of a 2:2 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Although the position is designed for recent graduates, it doesn't necessarily require a formal degree but does necessitate a clear understanding of the reasoning behind their chosen career path. If candidates possess the intellectual capacity to have contemplated university education, we still value strong academic achievements such as good GCSEs/A levels or equivalent qualifications. Full UK driving license. Authorized to work in the United Kingdom. Able to pass a low level of security clearance. The role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday. You must reside South of the M25 as this is an office based role.
