We are now looking to recruit an Apprentice SHEQ Coordinator on a full-time basis. This role will be based in one of our local offices within the advertised region. The candidate will also be connected to a local college or university that offers apprenticeship support. No prior experience is required, only a passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety and a desire to learn.
The apprenticeship includes:
1. You will study the Safety, Health, and Environment Technician apprenticeship standard, spending 80% of your time working on the job and 20% on dedicated learning towards the apprenticeship qualification.
2. Modules will cover all skills, knowledge, and behaviors associated with SHE.
3. Upon completing the modules, the apprentice will undertake an end-point assessment to be awarded the national apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting the SHEQ team in providing health, safety, and environmental advice and guidance in line with applicable legislation and industry best practices.
* Preparation and review of risk assessments and procedures.
* Carrying out health and safety training and toolbox talks.
* Conducting internal premises and site inspections and supporting the closure of findings.
* Vendor review, audit, and inspections.
* Preparing reports on performance against objectives, targets, and SHEQ performance, and supporting related communications.
* Supporting the implementation of Group SHEQ initiatives and campaigns.
Minimum requirements:
* At least 5 GCSEs grades A-C, including Maths and English.
* Full UK driving license.
* Good communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to analyze and interpret data.
* Team player.
