An opportunity to work as a Relief Catering Supervisor at Ada Belfield, a 40-bed Residential Home for Older Adults with a cafe serving 30+ covers open to the public. The post holder will manage all aspects of the busy kitchen, including health and safety, food hygiene, food preparation, cooking and service, ordering and bookwork, and monitoring and recording.
Responsibilities
* Manage all aspects of the kitchen operation, including health and safety and food hygiene.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking and service; handle ordering and bookwork.
* Monitor and record relevant aspects of the kitchen operations.
* Support specialist dietary requirements and menu planning.
* Demonstrate awareness of portion and cost control; prioritise presentation and customer focus.
* Lead the Catering team to provide high-quality, freshly prepared food to meet nutritional and dietary needs and promote the cafe as a vibrant community resource.
Qualifications
* Ideally qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 level or NVQ Level II, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety and possession of a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
